Mikirati Archaeological site is located at a distance of 5km from Dabaka in Hojai District (Lat. 26.1254134, Long. 92.860748) and it is listed by the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam since 1975. Mikirati Archaeological Site has at least ten brick mounds containing evidence of brick temple structures . One such brick mound unearthed by the Directorate in the years 2005-06 reveals the ARCH-ESTT0CNSR/5/2024-ESTT-ARCH-Directorate of Archaeology I/1367188/2025 brick-built plinth of a temple with a pranala. The evidence is datable to c. 6th – 12th Century CE. The site has evidence of a stone and brick temple ruins. The stone sculptures and temple relics of Mikirati display a lingering trend of Indian Classical Art. Native cultural belief and practices also manifest in the expression of art. A temple plinth with its mandapa and garbhagriha with a linga and yonipith are found here. Stylistically stone temple architectures are datable to c. 10th-11th century CE.
