Gachtal Archaeological Site.

Gachtal Archaeological site situated in Doboka (Lat. 26.120015, Long. 92.846318) and it is listed by the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam since 1984. The Site has two stone temples dedicated to Siva. The carvings on the door lintels and jambs consists of Ganesa, other temple relics indicates that stone temples at the site is stylistically datable to c.10th-13th century CE. A stone inscription datable to c.12th -13th Century CE has been recovered from this site and now displayed at District Museum Nagaon.

It is 25 km away from the Hojai Railway station and all weather motorable road. It can reach the Site by vehicle. This site has 2 stone temple dedicated to Siva. Datble to c. 1200-1300 CE.
